Six weeks Tuesdays 6:00-8:00 PM
 
Week 1 - Commercial glazes- Learn the ins and outs of brush on glazes from Mayco and Amaco, how to apply them for the best results, glaze layering and more. 
 
Week 2 - Underglazes part 1. Learn basic application techniques for working with underglazes on leather hard pots. Sgraffito techniques and intro to wax resist, mishima and masking. 
 
Week 3 - Underglazes part 2. Make your own underglaze transfers. Learn about commercially made underglaze transfers. Continue work from week 2. 
 
Week 4 - Underglazes part 3. Apply your underglaze transfers to leather hard pots. *Intro to monoprinting on clay*
 
Week 5. Bubble Glazing on Bisques pots. ( Leatherhard pots from previous weeks will be fired for week 6
 
Week 6. Wax resist, Masking and Dip Glazing. 
 
Leather hard pots and bisque pots will be available for purchase in the studio for this series. All bisque and leather hard pots will be hand made here with Laguna 55 clay and bisque will be soft fired to cone 05. 
 
All glazes and firings and materials for the series are included except for the pots which you must purchase here unless you have taken a class here and used our clay. There will be a variety of pots to choose from. 
 
This is a skill builiding and informational class but you will produce some finished pots! 
 
Pots will range from 10-20.00 each for the workshop. You may buy as many or few as you wish. 
 
BYOP pots MUST have been made here in a previous class.
