Hand building is a fun way to make just about anything out of clay!
This is an introductory class where beginners will make pre planned projects using 1-2 lbs of clay per project.
Some examples include
Mugs
Planters
Luminaries
Pinch pot berry bowls
And more.
We will also explore a variety of glazing and decorating options.
Clay, glazes and firing for each project is included.
Saturday morning classes are suitable for ages 14 - Adult
Week 1 Pinch pots- Choose Mugs, Bowls, Planters, or Berry Colanders. Closed forms such as decorative sculptures and small vases.
Week 2 -Slab Construction-Cylinders. Choose mugs, vases, etc with a variety of surface treatments and textures. Discussion of glazing options. Use of templates.
Week 3 - Slab Construction - Closed box or vase forms. Using templates, construct a closed box or open vase form. A variety of templates will be available. Use texture techniques from week 2.
Week 4- Glazing.
*THERE ARE NO MAKE UPS FOR MISSED CLASSES any weather closings will be rescheduled
*No clay is allows to be taken home and returned to be Fired.
*The clay included is for 3 1-2 lb projects made in class.

No refunds after 48 hours purchase. Class needs to meet minimum to run, if class minimum is not met we will place you in an alternate class.
If you cannot attend the alternate date/class a credit for a future class of your choice or merchandise will be issued
There are no make up days for missed classes. Classes cancelled for weather or holidays will be re scheduled .
