It takes a lot of study to become a certified "Spin Doctor," tm, but you  can get your hands and maybe your pants dirty at a fun mini spin pottery experience!
 
Choose from a selection of dates and times, or, for an additional fee, schedule an alternate private date.
 
This is a 2 hour INFORMAL pottery experience, strictly for fun, for you to have a go at making a pot or two on the potters wheel.
 
Upon arrival, you will be given a quick tour of the studio, a 30 minute demo and then create your *masterpieces* on the pottery wheel. We will be working for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes with 1 lb balls of clay to create small bowls or vessels and allow 10 minutes at class end to choose your favorite pots and discuss your glazing options. 
 
Because this is a "one time" experience, there will not be an opportunity for you to add handles, as the full pottery making process is  more "in depth" and time based. Your favorite pot is included in the class fee.
 
Any additional pots you decide to keep are $10.00 for trimming, glazing and firing. You can also choose to upgrade to Three Week Wheel and learn to trim and glaze your own pots.
 
The Mini Spin is meant to be FUN! If you have ever watched those well toned potters throwing pots on a wheel while they listen to ethereal pan pipes, barefoot, on a beach... then come on down and see how it REALLY is! *please don't come barefoot!
 
In fact, please wear closed toe shoes, and tie up your long locks.
Please no long nails! 
 
You may get muddy, but no worries, clay washes right out.
 
We do NOT provide aprons SO PLEASE DRESS ACCORDINGLY. 
 
This mini lesson is PERFECT if you have been on the fence about committing to a multi week course and you want to try it out, and also is a GREAT gift for a friend, co-worker, couple, or you and your bestie!
 
This is strictly for ages 14 and up! *unless prior approval with an adult Thanks!
