Pottery wheel class for the absolute beginner or those needing a refresher.
 
This is a great class for anyone wanting to learn the skill of throwing pots on the wheel or anyone who is experienced who would like to be a part of our artistic, friendly creative community !
 
Learn to throw small to medium pots using 1-3 lbs of clay.
Learn to trim, add texture, make handles and introduction of stoneware glazing options.
 
Each class includes demos, guided instruction, troubleshooting, practice and clean up.
 
2 hours per class per week.
 
Clay is available for purchase and includes bisque and glaze firing and use of all studio glazes. We recommend 12.5 lbs to start.
 
Class requirements-
*Tool kits and reclaim buckets available in studio
 
*Your own apron and small towels or washcloths.
 
*A desire to learn the ups (and downs) of wheel throwing!
 
*class minimum must be met for class to run. Please check your emails for updates. If class minimum is not met you will be offered a credit for a future class or a different class time.
 
*You MUST be able to attend the first class. The instruction is progressive and will not be repeated. Thanks!
