Pottery wheel class for the absolute beginner or those needing a refresher.
This is a great class for anyone wanting to learn the skill of throwing pots on the wheel or anyone who is experienced who would like to be a part of our artistic, friendly creative community !
Learn to throw small to medium pots using 1-3 lbs of clay.
Learn to trim, add texture, make handles and introduction of stoneware glazing options.
Each class includes demos, guided instruction, troubleshooting, practice and clean up.
Learn to center the clay on the wheel, open, raise walls, trim pots, add handles, reclaim your clay and best practices for making your own pottery.

8:00-8:30 Next steps/ next class prep and clean up*
2.5 hours per class per week.
Class includes 10 lbs of clay to start*.
More clay is available for purchase in the studio.
Class requirements-
*Tool kits and reclaim buckets available for purchase in studio
*Your own apron and small towels or washcloths. (Take these home after each class and wash them)
*A desire to learn the ups (and downs) of wheel throwing!
*class minimum must be met for class to run. Please check your emails for updates. If class minimum is not met you will be offered a credit for a future class or a different class time.
*You MUST be able to attend the first class. The instruction is progressive and will not be repeated. Thanks!
Clean up is part of class and students should leave the studio the way they found it or better. Please follow all cleaning protocols.
Please read studio policies before registering. There are NO make ups for missed classes unless we close due to weather. In that case a class will be added on. There are no refunds or rescheduling options.
