Price is for a party of 2! Try the pottery wheel in a fun, relaxed, laid back, beginner class! You will work with a professional instructor using 1lb balls of clay with the goal of creating small bowls or vessels. 1 fired piece is included in class fee. See glazing options below. Please keep in mind wheel throwing is challenging, don’t strive for perfection, and remember to have fun! • Arrival and introductions 6:00-6:10 * PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE LATE! We will not accept late arrivals after 5 minutes. See terms below. • Clay prep, wheel discussion, throwing demo (cylinder to small bowl) 6:10-6:30 • Step by step lesson (make your first piece as a group) - 6:30-6:50 • Independent throwing with guidance 6:50-7:15 Practice what you learned! • Clean-up & Glaze choice / discussion 7:15-7:30 15 minutes is reserved at class end during cleanup to choose your favorite pot and discuss your glazing options. Because this is a "one time" experience, there will not be an opportunity for you to add handles, as the full pottery making process is more "in depth" and time based. Any additional pots you decide to keep are $10.00 for trimming, firing. Please wear closed toe shoes and tie up long hair. ***Please no long nails! Long nails will make throwing very challenging! You may get muddy, but no worries, clay washes right out. This class is PERFECT if you have been on the fence about committing to a multi week course and you want to try it out, and also is a GREAT gift for a friend, co-worker, couple, or you and your bestie! Evening classes for ages 18 and up! Day time 18 and up or 12 and up with an adult Thanks! This is to book a 1.5 hour lesson for 2 people There are no rescheduling or refunds (unless class min is not met) as we prep for each class in advance. Please read studio policies before booking. ** CLASS MINIMUM MUST BE MET FOR CLASS TO RUN** IF MINIMUM IS NOT MET WE WILL OFFER YOU A DIFFERENT TIME SLOT OR CREDIT. ** If you choose "return to glaze" you will be contacted by phone or email when pots are bisque fired. (Generally, within 2 weeks after your class date) This is NOT a BYOB class. If you would like to book a PRIVATE PARTY- See that listing. Thanks! You must book a "return to glaze appointment" within 30 days of this contact or pots will be discarded. After you return to glaze your pots, pieces will be glaze fired and ready for pick up approximately 14 days after your glazing appointment. You will be contacted by phone or email when pots are ready for pick up, Pots not glazed or picked up after 30 days of contact will be discarded or donated. If you choose for us to glaze your pieces, they will be ready for pick up within approximately 30 days of your class date. (Often sooner) You will be contacted when they are ready for pick up. Pots not glazed or picked up after 30 days of contact will be discarded or donated.
